In A Word

Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.  Luke 7:7 (KJV)
When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick. Luke 7:9-10 (KJV)

Are you ready to be shocked out of your shoes? Jesus is waiting for you to ask with ‘faith believing’ that He CAN perform what you need done. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done, Christ is looking at the inner man. In Luke we read about the centurion’s servants seeking out Jesus to give Him reason to come see their master. Jesus of course knowing the need, came. Being servants, they had made the urgency all about their master, the centurion, and his need. They didn’t realize: It’s all about Jesus. (Jn 11:4)

I find that so often it’s still that way today. We state our accomplishments, titles and reasoning why we should receive from God. We forget that it’s not the need that moves God, it the faith and Him being glorified that touches the heart of God. It’s all about Jesus.
The centurion didn’t care what others said about him, he had a need and knew that Christ was able to accomplish it. It’s all about Jesus.
The centurion recognizes the position of Christ as Almighty God. The centurion humbly tells Jesus ‘I’m not worthy of your time or presence, just say the word’. Wow. If we could just have that faith – not just saying it from our mouth because it sounds good, but because we believe it in our heart! Again I say: Jesus is looking at the inner man. It’s all about Jesus.

We need to recognize who the Creator is, His authority, and His ability to perform! It’s all about Jesus.

Your need may be great, but our God is Greater. Your situation may seem impossible, our Savior specializes in making those things possible. Your burden may feel unbearable, Jesus will bare all your burdens. Jesus just ‘say the word’. Powerful! Recognize His authority over your every situation. In a Word – you too will be a witness of His Greatness.
As the centurion recognized my pass accomplishments, titles or reasons have little to do with the miracle that’s on its way in your life! “And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick”. It’s all about Jesus.
