Your Success Story

Your Success Story Is Being Written

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.” II Corinthians 3:2-3

People have made millions of dollars writing about the problems and triumphs of their lives. You may have even purchased some of their stories yourself and been encouraged by their perseverance or dedication. When you stop and think about it, you have such a story! Your story is no less than inspiring than those you’ve read about.

Many of those stories are reflections of the what has transpired in their past, but now they’re looking back, inspiring us to move ahead. Their trouble becomes your inspiration to succeed. Looking at Paul’s troubles, he didn’t know what was going to happen next (II Corinthians 11:25). He was prepared to suffer for Christ acknowledging the times in which he lived in (II Corinthians 1:6). As we read some of the victories Paul experienced throughout his Christian walk, it was either in prison or in front of opposition. In the end Paul could say “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (II Timothy 4:7). That’s INSPIRING. Fighting a good fight! Not some wimpy shuffling back and forth, but really getting down and dirty, fighting to WIN! Finishing the course that Christ had given him to complete. We sometimes quit in the middle of the course. We may not quit the trial, but we don’t complete the COURSE. There is a set of trials and work that needs to be completed in order to get your to your NEXT level in Christ. Don’t quit the course! In the middle of every problem we need to keep the faith. Keeping true to the calling of Jesus – maintaining the faith and not settling for what your ‘human nature’ would be ‘satisfied’ with. (I can go on about that!)

Right now, you may be in the midst of your problem, with no end in sight – just look ahead to the victory, the end of the your storm. Encourage yourself. Wipe the tears from your eyes, straighten up your shoulders, look your obstacles, problems and devils in the eye and FIGHT, FINISH & KEEP strong in Christ! Your Success Story is being written as we speak!

Ninety-Nine Percent

My goodness! I just read the most inspiring quote by George Washington Carver:

“Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.”

Wow.

Jesus said “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23) encouraging a father who had went to the disciples for assistance with his son. Unfortunately the disciple did not think of the cost to be like Jesus. Jesus had already given them authority to do exploits in chapter 3. What happened? Jesus said we need to add some of our own works, in this case – prayer and fasting.

Christ has given us the wisdom and ability to do many things in this life to better our situations and status in life. It is our responsibility to use what God has already granted us with, and ‘work those gifts and talents’! It can become a habit to make excuses why things are not the way we ‘wish’ for them to be – but let me repeat the words of Christ “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” That is not just spiritual, that can be physical, mental, in education, on your job, in your home and so on.

I think too many times we associate “difficulty” with not meeting God’s approval. Resistance is good – it builds muscle, it strengthens teeth. Being in the Will of God is more than just things going smoothly. Even things in the Will of God pertaining to your life will have its challenges, that’s why we need Christ’s strength, guidance, voice.

We can do NOTHING without HIM, acknowledge that. There are somethings YOU will need to do for YOURSELF, calling on Christ for help and support. Your best effort is needed on every aspect of your situation, life and endeavors. God’s assistance is always needed for SUCCESS, but He wont take the test for you, He won’t seek opportunities for you, He can’t manage your finances for you. Don’t make excuses, make your ‘bestest’ effort!
