“And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
Mark 4:37=39 (KJV)
“Peace Be Still”
Ever feel that you’re out in the middle of the sea with a storm raging around you? Between work, school and any other activity you might be involved with, it can easily be overwhelming. At times even our appearance in the classroom is effected by the worry and strain. Not only is there a sense of hopelessness but of inadequacy. These are tools of the enemy to toss you with the winds of trouble and waves of fear and doubt.
Remember that the Master is riding in the same ship. Even though you may not see Him on the deck of this ship – His Spirit will not allow any harm to come your way. You’re precious cargo, with a mission to accomplish.
So…Put on a raincoat, and hold on cause it’s gonna be a rough ride. He is always there to rebuke the winds of trouble and the waves of fear or doubt in the back of your mind, with three little words “Peace be still”.
