“For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” Psalms 27:7
Trying to avoid “trouble”? According to Jesus: The Lord “sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust“, there is no distinguishing of your individual status in life, spiritual health, or financial abilities. The key to being successful is to know who can ‘hide’ us in His Love. Not to be hid from problems, but to be sheltered from the demise of the enemy. It’s during the times of trouble that we can be subject to making rash decisions and make a bad situation worse. If we give ourselves over to the One who reigns forever – he will give us a place to be sheltered from the trouble that can cloud our minds and thoughts. In the place of sacredness God can speak to us understanding, and His presence will hold us close. Once we have a cleared our thoughts, He can set us up on a rock to see clearly over the situations that did surpass us just minutes before.
We can’t avoid trouble, but we have a Heavenly Father who will hide us from the damage that could be. Living victorious only comes from the submission to the Almighty, when trouble ‘comes a knockin’. We can’t avoid trouble – it’s part of life, but we can be “hid” in His sheltering arms, and set upon higher ground.
